A starter note about sharing work that is still taking shape.
A public note can begin with “Here is how I currently understand this.” That sentence leaves space for someone else to see it differently, and for the writer to return with a correction.
Make the edges visible
Separate what you observed from what you inferred. If a thought is a hunch, call it a hunch. If you borrow an idea, point to its source.
A useful ending might be a question instead of a conclusion.
Leave room to revise
When a note changes, a short explanation can be helpful: “I used to think this; this example made me reconsider.” There is no need to pretend the first version was final.
This is one reason to imagine the collection as a garden. Sharing a thought is one moment in its life, not necessarily its last.
